The 2 of cups tarot card can easily be telling you that love does not take a a single form. There are so many ways to express love to another, and if this love is real and is strong, it exists even if what you hope for in return isn’t received. When you love somebody, you feel it no matter what. You want what is in the highest and best good for this person. You feel good knowing hat they are striving, so you do whatever you can to see them strive. You care deeply about how they feel, so you do what you can to help them feel good. To see them shine gives you a glow all your own.
As you do such things for the people you care about, do you necessarily feel it coming back to you by them? Do you feel they are putting their energy into enhancing your life as you are theirs? You may not, but that is okay. It doesn’t mean they don’t care, it could mean only that they don’t see the way to do this. Or it could mean that you are not tuned into it. But that does not matter. Do what you can to enhance their life and know it does indeed bounce back in some manner or other, even if it is just the good feeling you get by seeing them being the best version of their self. —Jim Larsen
