4 of Swords: Are You Driving Yourself Crazy?

4 of Swords Tarot Card: Don’t forget to have some “you” time

The 4 of Swords tarot card reminds you today that you don’t need to get everything done at once. Why rush? Take things one at a time and don’t feel like time is slipping by  too fast if you don’t do it all at once. Take a breather between tasks. Take a rest.  Don’t forget to find time for the things that are important to you in the daily mix of obligations. You can’t always, every minute of every day, be “on” for other people. Trying to do that will drive you crazy and maybe even insane really fast. Be careful about that.

Don’t lose track of your personal interests and your own ambitions. Find time for them. What you do with your personal interests and ambitions will add to your legacy. Don’t squander it by being nothing but obligated to others. When you feel like there is being too much placed on you by others, take a moment to reflect on the 4 of Swords tarot card to get your mind back on track.  –Jim Larsen

The Empress: Making a Positive Difference

The Empress Tarot Card: How about lifting up instead of putting down?

The Empress tarot card today is reminding you to let people know you care about them. Be mindful of your words to other people, and be mindful of your actions too. It makes a difference to a person to know that they are cared about and appreciated, so let your interactions reflect this towards others today. Even the smallest thing towards showing  that you care can make a difference, and this can be a nice gift to give. Why not make a positive difference in somebody’s life? Why not lift somebody’s spirit up? Don’t we all need that once in awhile?

Instead of saying and doing things that bring people down, today, do the opposite. Do things to boost somebody’s mood and make them feel good. This is to embody the archetype of the Empress tarot card today.  — Jim Larsen

9 of Cups: The Truest Version of Yourself

9 of Cups Tarot Card: Why shouldn’t you be happy?

Ask your self this question: “Why shouldn’t I have everything I want in life?” The nine of Cups tarot card agrees. You should have everything you want in life. To live a life of abundance, is to live a life of happiness, and to live a life of happiness is to express your truest and highest version of yourself. So to have what you want to be happy, is to do not only yourself a favor, but the world at large a favor. When you are the optimized version of yourself, you are putting out the greatest most possible vibration for others to pick up on and be affected by.

So ask the universe for what you need to be happy. Be happy! It is so easy to settle for less, but is it the best way to live? Go for what you want and what you need. The 9 of Cups does remind you though, be mindful. While we should have what we want, try not to overindulge, and don’t become trapped in the world of your belongings. An overindulgence of things leads to problems all their own. Focus on what is true and real to you, expect those things, and feel good about living.  — Jim Larsen

Temperance: Are Your Thoughts Too Rigid?

Temperance Tarot Card: Consider all viewpoints

The Temperance Tarot Card shows up sometimes to tell you not to be too rigid in your thinking. Be willing to budge sometimes. Allow for other ideas and viewpoints. For the sake of harmony, listen to what other people have to say, and take into consideration what they think is important. It’s not all about you. It’s about mutual benefit. Consider your viewpoints, and consider their viewpoints. Let these viewpoints blend together to create a whole.

If it’s all just what you think, something is going to be missing. Blend the ideas together, now it is a significant unification. Now it is something worth considering. Now it is something all will get something out of. Remember this about the Temperance tarot card, it is about the blending of energies. Create something new and unified through the collection of different ideas, attitudes, and energies.  –  Jim Larsen

4 of Swords: Find Calm

4 of Swords Tarot Card: Untangle your thoughts

Today, the 4 of swords tarot card is advising you to find a sense of calm. The worries of recent days may have been affecting you in a rather negative way. They have probably been bringing you down. You have probably had so many things coming at you all at once that your thoughts have become a jumbled mess where you don’t know what is relevant and what is superfluous  anymore. This means, it is time to take a break. Just stop thinking for awhile. Rest. Gather your thoughts, and untangle them. Find the ones that are relevant and separate them from the ones that are not. This is hard to do when you everything is coming at you at once, so take a rest from it all so you can see clearly what is what.

Once you know which are the important thoughts, you can focus on them. You can figure out what they mean to you and utilize them while brushing the others away like unwanted crumbs. This is what our thoughts can do to us if we are not careful; they can overwhelm us. The trick is to stay in charge of them and not them overtake us. The four of swords tarot card is here today to remind you of this.  — Jim Larsen

2 of Cups: Do You Feel The Love?

2 of Cups Tarot Card: There are many ways to express love

The 2 of cups tarot card can easily be telling you that love does not take a a single form. There are so many ways to express love to another, and if this love is real and is strong, it exists even if what you hope for in return isn’t received. When you love somebody, you feel it no matter what. You want what is in the highest and best good for this person. You feel good knowing hat they are striving, so you do whatever you can to see them strive. You care deeply about how they feel, so you do what you can to help them feel good. To see them shine gives you a glow all your own.

As you do such things for the people you care about, do you necessarily feel it coming back to you by them? Do you feel they are putting their energy into enhancing your life as you are theirs? You may not, but that is okay. It doesn’t mean they don’t care, it could mean only that they don’t see the way to do this. Or it could mean that you are not tuned into it. But that does not matter. Do what you can to enhance their life and know it does indeed bounce back in some manner or other, even if it is just the good feeling you get by seeing them being the best version of their self.  —Jim Larsen

Two of Swords: Be Open

2 of Swords Tarot Card: Consider what others have to say too

The 2 of Swords is reminding you today to be open. Listen to what others have to say. Their ideas  and opinions count too. In the words and ideas of others, there is benefit to you, even if you do not right away see it, so listen to them and take to heart what they share. Blend your ideas with their ideas to create a much greater new idea that takes into account a number of viewpoints. In this way, many considerations are factored in to whatever the situation is, and important details are less likely to be overlooked. Do not assume that you have the complete whole answer to a situation. The Two of Swords reminds you to be open to what others think, know, and believe as well. — Jim Larsen

High Priestess: Your Inner Mysteries

The Voyager Tarot Priestess card

The High Priestess Tarot Card: The answers are there. Listen for them.

Today, examine the mysteries of your inner being. Find something that you would love to have an answer to. Now ask your inner High Priestess  this question. Wait for the answer. Listen for it. You may have to wait for it. Meditate. Keep the question at the forefront of your mind and let the answer come to you. When it does come, trust it even if it is not what you had hoped for.

We are all intuitive beings, and the High Priestess is that piece of us that knows the answers. Our job is to tune our gut into her messages. This may take practice, as our egos often shout louder than her whispers. Our egos know what it wants, but the High Priestess knows what we will get. So, accept her messages. If you are displeased with whatever comes your way, practice your manifestation skills with the Magician, but do not deny the High Priestess. That would be an argument you will not win. –Jim Larsen

Ace of Wands: Do You Seize Inspirations?

Ace of Wands Tarot Card: Have a good idea? Run with it!

Today, the Ace of Wands tarot card is encouraging you to not let any inspirations slip by you. Expect inspirations from unexpected sources. You don’t always know when they hit you. You may be watching TV, and something somebody on the show makes you think of something. As you think about this something, an idea may come to you. As you consider this idea, a vision may present itself to you. As you examine this vision, it may occur to you that you are really onto something. When this happens, act. You  have been inspired. Take that inspiration and nurture it to life. See what it becomes. See where it takes you.

All those people who are successful from some small inspiration they had, got that way not by having an idea and saying, “Yeah, that’s a good idea.” And then letting it drop. They got that way by having an idea and saying, “Yeah, that’s a good idea.” And then doing something with it, and sticking with it. So today, wherever it comes from, whatever it may be, seize your inspirations and do something with them. This is the Ace of Wands working through you today.  — Jim Larsen

9 of Cups: Just Ask For What You Want

9 of Cups Tarot Card: It’s not always about having what you need. Sometimes it’s about getting what you want.

Ask for what you want. You may have everything you need in life, sure. But is there anything else that would add more enjoyment to your day to existence? Do you have everything you want? Whatever it is that you know you would appreciate having,  ask the Universe for it. The Universe is abundant, and you are a piece of the Universe, so why not enjoy that abundance? You are, after all,  entitled to it. Take some time to deeply visualize what it is you wish to have. Visualize what it means to have it. Visualize yourself enjoying this and using it, and receiving whatever benefits this thing offers. Feel the positive emotions it inspires in you. Meditate this way until the force of having this is so strong it is drawn to you. The 9 of Cups, today, reminds you of this power.  — Jim Larsen
