When you think of the 7 of Pentacles tarot card as denoting patience, it tells you that there will be a favorable outcome. If not, what is it telling you to have patience for? What is growing? What is it becoming? If there is nothing to look forward to, then what reward is looming?

The fact that you are patient at all tells you there is something to be patient for. With that in mind, you know your efforts and your hopes are not for nothing. There is something to look forward to and to get excited about. Wait for it. It is going to happen. — Jim Larsen

The Magician: Get Away From Negative Energy

Voyager Tarot Magician

The Magician of Tarot: Focus on the Positive

Tap into the the strength of your inner magician. The strength of the Magician is the ability to stay positive. The Magician is a manifester. As such, it draws to itself more of the energy that it is emanating. With that in mind, the magician knows to stay positive in order to draw more positivity to the self.

The Magician knows it is counter productive to dwell in negative energy. Of course, negative feelings and emotions come our way; we wouldn’t be human if they didn’t. However, to stay stuck in them only draws in more of this negativity that we don’t want and don’t need.

When negativity comes our way, the Magician knows to simply observe it for what it is and what it has to tell us, and then move on from it. They are not meant to be all we are and dominate our life. The strength of the Magician is the ability to observe and release and to stay focused on the positive. –Jim Larsen

The Chariot: Don’t be a Loser Procrastinator

The Chariot Tarot Card

The Chariot of Tarot: Be the Accomplisher, not the Procrastinator

Your inner chariot is that which gives you the drive and the motivation to accomplish your dreams. Sometimes though, it can feel like your chariot has lost a wheel. You know what you want to do and what you want to accomplish but somehow can’t seem to motivate yourself to do it. You can visualize the steps you need to take in order to get what you want but are having difficulty getting up and getting moving. This is when your chariot has lost a wheel. That wheel needs to be put back on.

Find the motivation. Remind yourself that if you don’t, all you are is somebody who had dreams, but not the wherewithal to make those dreams come true. Ask yourself, is that really what you want? Or do you want the image of yourself to be one of the people who had a vision of what they could accomplish, and let nothing stop them from accomplishing it?

There is so much more to be said about somebody who accomplishes their dreams than there is about somebody who dreams without action to see their dreams through to reality. Be that person- the accomplisher, not the procrastinator.

Secure all the wheels on your chariot, and accomplish your dreams. Your dreams are worthwhile. If they were not, you would never have had them. Honor your dreams by doing all you can to bring them to fruition without excuses or procrastination. — Jim Larsen

The Sun: Chase The Moon Away

The Sun Tarot Card

The Sun Tarot Card: Chasing the Moon Shadows Away

The Sun chases the Moon away. Moon energy can be cruel- it can make you feel convinced that something is terribly wrong. It can make you certain that the absolute worst has happened although you have no factual evidence that it has. This feeling can make you feel like your life is ending. It is based on only the thoughts in your head, but those thoughts are tangible and create an acid that corrodes your soul.

Then you get clarity. You see the truth about what you had been dreading. You see that it was nothing but a shadow. The sun has risen and cast light into the shadows, vanquishing them. Now the dread is replaced with relief. You have clarity about what caused you grief and now you see it was nothing at all. Perhaps it was a simple and unfortunate misunderstanding.

When consumed by Moon energy such as this, don’t succumb to it. Remind yourself that it will pass. Remind yourself that it is just the moon casting its shadows. The Sun can’t stay away forever. It has to rise again and chase the moon shadows away. — Jim Larsen

The Devil: You Got The Devil in You

The Devil Tarot Card

The Devil Tarot Card: Remove the Blocks to your Personal Enlightenment

The Devil exists inside of you. He is not a force acting on you from the outside. The Devil manifests as those feelings of inferiority that keep you down. He is those feelings of doubt and guilt that have no foundation, yet exert such strong control. He is that voice in your head that tells you oh so convincingly that you are not good enough, not worthy enough, and not deserving of the things that mean the most to you.

The Devil is a personal thing. He will find your individual weaknesses and notions of inferiority and exploit them for maximum damage. His prescience does not allow you to live a full, content life. To live fully, you must defeat him. You must push past him. When he speaks to you in his attempts to bring you down, keep you in your place, instill doubt and unnecessary worry, see it for exactly what it is- blocks to your own personal fulfilment and enlightenment.

When he tells you that you cannot do this or that, or are not good enough for this or that, or are unworthy of anything that will bring you joy, say to him, ‘Shut up, Devil!” Be aware of your own power and worth and prove them to yourself by not adhering to the Devil’s mandates that you do not. After all, it is your life, not his. You live it, not him. You know what you need and what is best for you, not him. You know who you are and what you are capable of. Don’t let the Devil inside of you minimize that. — Jim Larsen

The Moon: Quit Beating Yourself Up!

The Moon Tarot Card

The Moon Tarot Card: Go Easy on Yourself

The moon card of tarot can easily indicate confusion and lack of clarity, while the sun indicates that feeling of relief you feel when that confusion is lifted and things make sense. Sometimes our actions are based on confusion. We simply don’t know all of the facts, so we must work with what facts we do have. What other choice is there? This may lead to feelings of distress or guilt out of worry that we are making the wrong choices.

We mustn’t be judgmental of ourselves in these cases. We are doing the best we can with what we have to work with. In time, the sun will rise and clarity, or at least a degree of it, will emerge and we can assess the decisions we made, and determine what needs to be done differently or undone altogether. It is so easy to beat yourself up for what feels like a bad decision. It takes courage and strength not to. Don’t judge yourself under the light of the moon when not all facts and details are seen. Wait for the sun, and even then, go easy on yourself. — Jim Larsen
