Ace of Swords: You are Intelligent

Ace of Swords Tarot Card

Ace of Swords Tarot Card: Discovering our true intelligence

We don’t always know just how intelligent we are or how much knowledge we have until we are pushed to a limit that tests it. Day by day and hour by hour, we may not have too many reasons to think a whole lot about new things. Most of us get into routines and for the most part stay on autopilot. Our routines take over. We get through the hours and the days by rote. For the most part, we are not challenged. Nothing out of the unusual comes up that requires any deeper thought than our regular thought processes. But sometimes something does come up. Sometimes, something comes up that requires us to apply a deeper analysis of the situation than we normally apply.

This is when we discover just how intelligent we really are. We are pushed deeper into our thought processes than we normally go. This is where we discover how expansive our minds are. We find our limits and what we want and need to learn more about. This activates our problem solving skills. This is what we tap into to see what we really have in our brains. When something new comes up, a mystery to be solved, a problem to be figured out, or a riddle to be unraveled, are we willing and able to explore our minds and expand our thoughts? Or do we let the limits of what we already know and what comes easy to us dictate how much we are willing to put into figuring it out?

The next time you are stumped on something, activate the Ace of Swords within yourself and don’t give up until you have found the answer. This is how to push yourself mentally and grow and expand your limits. Don’t give up until you find the answers you are looking for. — Jim Larsen

Ace of Swords: Seeing Bursts Of Brilliance

Ace of Swords Tarot Cards: Sudden Bursts of Brilliance

Some people believe that we think, on average, 70,000 thoughts per day. Assuming that’s true, that’s a lot of thinking. In all those thoughts, there has got to be at least a few brilliant ones that float through you head, wouldn’t you think? The Ace of Swords within you is there to identify and capture these brilliant thoughts. It sees them as they float in the ether of all the others, all those like, “What should I eat for dinner tonight?” “Oh, that’s a cute puppy.” “That thumbtack looks a little rusty.” And “That car over there is blue.” You get the idea. So much of what goes through our minds is simple and mundane.

Mixed in with all that though, are the bursts of brilliance. Cutting through the simplistic thoughts are those that can change our lives and the world. These are the answers to the questions we have been struggling with. These are brilliant inspirations.  These are the new ideas and the new visions that will shift the paradigm to create a new tomorrow.

Look around you right now. How much of what you see started off as somebody’s idea? Do you see a lamp? Somebody had the idea to invent the light bulb, and then over the years more people had ideas about how to improve it. Somebody had the idea to create the base of that lamp to give that light bulb a place to do its thing. Somebody had the idea to harness the power of electricity to make that light bulb turn on. Somebody had the idea about how buildings ought to be built with the wires that carry the electricity to that lamp.

Are you sitting down right now? Somebody in history had the idea to make chairs, to make couches, to make beanbags…. you get the idea. These people were all masters of their inner Ace of Swords. They sifted through the multitude of everyday thoughts to find the useful and brilliant ones to change the world.

Not every brilliant thought is there to change the world. They don’t all have to. Some are just there to make your own life better. Today, find those thoughts. Put them to work for you, and make your own world that much better. Sharpen your Ace of Swords. Make it a magnet for powerful thoughts. –– Jim Larsen

Ace of Swords: A Free Mind

Ace of Swords Tarot Card: Going beyond the mind clutter

A mind free of chaos is a mind that can focus and see what is real and what is not. This is the reminder that the Ace of Swords has for you today. Take time every day to declutter your mind and free it of all that hinders it. A free mind is a clear mind. A clear mind will know truths that will never be seen to others. Spend a few moments, or more, in silence everyday. Let your thoughts evaporate and you worries and cares drift away. What is left? This is what is important. This is what is authentic to you. This is what deserves your focus. Everyday, find what is beyond the clutter. By doing this, you will find your brilliance and you will embody the clarity that the Ace of Swords tarot card represents.

Ace of Swords: Stuck Ideas

Ace of Swords Tarot Card: What to do when ideas get stuck in your head

ace of swords tarot card

Take note, today, of just how sharp and defined your thoughts are. They are right on track. Where are all these good ideas coming from? You might wonder. They are coming from within. Many have been stored within you for countless years just waiting for you to reach a point where you are not so stuck in your head that they can finally come to the surface to be recognized.

That will happen- ideas get trapped inside somewhere. They are held prisoner by a mind and an ego that is so sure it has all the answers and all that it needs that it does not allow for anything else to be noticed. When this happens, so many ideas go shoved aside and go unnoticed and unappreciated. How can they compete with an ego that is so sure of itself? The ego has a mind of its own, and when that mind is made up, it is very hard to get it to accept anything else.

With luck though, the mind finally relaxes and allows for other concepts to come to the forefront. When this happens, these ideas that have been locked away come to the forefront and you are said to be “inspired.” Okay, for today, take these inspirations and do something good with them. This is the message of the Ace of Swords for today.
