The Tower: Benefit From Your Pain

Tower Tarot Card: How to face a Dark Night of the Soul without fear

The Tower Tarot Card

A dark night of the soul is one of the most painful and difficult things to endure, yet one of the most beneficial to your enlightenment. Sometimes, this can be thought of as a Tower, in the Tarot sense of the word. Think of all the hurt and pain and sorrow you have experienced as still being with you, taking physical form and taking up physical space within you. With a Dark night of the Soul, you have the chance to dissolve these forms. You have the opportunity to seriously look at these forms and identify them for what they are, and deal with them in a constructive way. Experience them each fully and they dissolve. The space within that this form was now becomes vacant and the empty feeling can be jarring and uncomfortable.

The trick now is to fill it with something positive and productive. Imagine pure white light filling these empty spaces. Imagine this as healing and vibrant energy. This energy is the opposite of the heavy and solid energy of the sadness it replaces. It is light and buoyant. Without the heaviness that was just there, you are not stuck on the ground, mired in the stagnant muck of despair. No, you are free and light and can now ascend and fly.

So fly. Ask your spirit where it wants to go and let it lead the way. Don’t tether your spirit to the ground with any more weighty concerns. Set your spirit free and let it fly. Don’t let your mind dictate where your spirit will go. Let your mind follow. Your spirit will fly towards enlightenment. You just need to let it. So the sooner you experience your Dark Night of the Soul, the sooner your spirit can fly. The sooner your spirit flies, the sooner you find your truth and enlightenment. Why put it off for fear?

To experience this Dark Night of the Soul is painful. Pain is a fearful thing. It is easy to run from it and to hide from it. When you run and hide from it, you don’t receive the benefits of it. So find the courage and the fortitude and face a Dark Night of the Soul head on. This is what it means to face the Tower of Tarot head on.

The Tower: Illuminating Your True Star

The Tower Tarot Card

The Tower Tarot Card: Building back stronger so our star can shine

Sometimes everything has to fall completely apart in order to see the weaknesses of a situation. This way, you get a better idea of what needs fixing. Sometimes we sense that something just isn’t  right, and maybe we don’t know what it is exactly. We sense it, but we don’t see it. There isn’t much to do in these situations except to let everything fall apart. Let it all explode. Watch it crumble. As it does though, don’t feel helpless. Understand that this needs to happen so you can sort through the pieces and salvage what’s real and what’s important. The rest can be swept away.

Hold onto these salvaged pieces, because this is the true foundation of what is important. What you add to this is what will make the situation strong. This will illuminate your true star quality, or the true star quality of the situation. Appreciate that things need to fall apart sometimes. If not, life becomes a lie. Think of the tower card as the opportunity to examine the intrinsic value of what is there. Appreciate the fact that sometimes things won’t go the way you had hoped for. If everything did, what would you ever learn? When would you ever amass any new strength. Just for today, examine the towers that have fallen in your life to appreciate the lessons they taught.

The Tower: Setting Your Soul Free

The Tower Tarot Card
The Tower Tarot Card

The Tower Tarot Card: Let go of it if it doesn’t serve you

The power of the Tower is your ability to watch it all fall, to bid it all farewell without a tear in your eye. There is too much you don’t need stored in the Tower of your soul. There is so much you do not need; so much you could do without. Knock down your towers. Set your soul free. So much trapped energy is in a tower. Nothing is flowing. Nothing is moving. It’s just stuck. Just stagnant. This is destructive. This is overpowering. It is invasive to common sense.

Knock the Tower down. Set that energy to the wind. Watch it blow away. Feel yourself become lighter without the weight of stuck energy bearing down on your shoulders. Do this by examining your life truly. Don’t kid yourself. Don’t lie to yourself. Honestly access what thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs are not serving you. Once you have them, let them go. Just, simply, stop clinging to them. Say goodbye and watch them waft away.

You have to be honest with yourself- that is the most important and probably the most difficult part of the process. If you can manage to do it though, wow! Life gets good. So today, give it a try. Let go of what does not serve your highest good.

The Tarot Tower Card: If It’s Not Working Out, Let It Go

The Tower tarot card urges you, if something isn’t work out, let it go. If you have honestly tried to make it work, but it obviously isn’t going to, why spend your energy on it? The more it doesn’t work despite all your efforts to make it, the more you will feel bad about it. Why put yourself through it? Admit that it is just not meant to be and let that be that. The longer you put this off, the more distressing it will be to cut it loose. Understand that and move onto something more meaningful. If you do this, you will not be trapped beneath the rubble of a fallen tower when it all inevitably crumbles anyway. If you take control of it now, then the crumbling won’t be so bad. You at least get to be in control of how it falls apart.
