4 of Pentacles: Which Direction To Go?

four creation copy

4 of Pentacles Tarot Card: Grasping Faith

Sometimes, you’re just not sure what you should do. Sometimes, you feel like you are in a void, unsure which direction you should head. In these cases, you may or may not have an idea what you need. What should you hang onto? What should you let go of? What will serve you? What will hold you back? As you drift through this void towards whatever it is you are drifting to, what will slow you down? What will propel you? These are hard questions to answer sometimes, so all you can really do is grasp faith and hope for the best. Listen to your intuition, and follow it exactly.

If you feel like you are holding onto to too much, let go. If you feel you really do need to hold onto something, then hold on. Let your faith and intuition guide you through the void and you are sure to accomplish what there is for you to accomplish in the void. Enjoy it.

6 of Pentacles Tarot Card: Don’t fear generosity

The 6 of Pentacles tells us to give a little. Receive a little. Sometimes you need something. Sometimes you have something to offer. This is one of the balances of life. Consider this when you have a chance to leave a tip for services rendered. Of course, you can afford a little extra to show appreciation, so why not? Put a dollar or so in the tip basket, or jar, or whatever. Wouldn’t you appreciate that if it were receiving it? In time, in its own way, it will come back to you. So why not generate a little good energy this way? You have nothing to lose. Be generous. Be appreciative. Why not? — Jim Larsen

The Sun: Always Something to Feel Good About

sun tarot card

The Sun Tarot Card: Be open to happiness

There is always something to feel good about. Even if you are not feeling good about things, open your eyes. There is something there. It may be as small as the feel of the breeze across your face or a favorite song that you haven’t heard in a while. So, no matter what your circumstances are today, find something to feel good about. Don’t root yourself too firmly in unhappiness. Allow whatever small thing that might lift you out of it to do so. Why put up with feeling bad? You don’t have to. Be open to happiness.

3 of Wands: Got the Urge to Ramble? Go.

3 passsions copy

3 of Wands Tarot Card: “Ramblin’ Fever”

There is such a thing as “Rambling Fever.” It is a desire for momentum, movement, change. It is the need to not sit still, a need for new scenery and landscapes. It is a strong desire to escape your  current circumstances and see more, do more, be more. Hank Williams sang about this famously in his song, “Ramblin’ Man.”

The 3 of Wands tarot card advises you that you may find yourself experiencing this Ramblin’ Fever. Maybe you have the means to pick and go, and maybe you don’t. If you do, go for it. If you don’t, find something productive to do with this desire. Don’t wallow in it and let it become self-pity. What good has that ever done except to perpetuate itself and drive others crazy? No, don’t do that.  Find something to channel it into.  Let it fuel your creative impulses. Turn that desire for something new into creative energy and imagine what you would be seeing if you could get away to see it. Create art based on this. Create something for the world to appreciate based on your urge to go. Let your desire fuel your passion.

8 of Cups: When the Thrilling Becomes Mundane

8 emotions copy

8 of Cups Tarot Card: It’s time to let go

The 8 of Cups Tarot Card asks you, “What happens when once was new, exciting, adventurous, and thrilling becomes common and mundane?” Well, maybe it’s time to say “Okay. That’s enough.” When you’ve had enough, it just means that it has served its purpose in your life and it is time to put it behind you. Something to be ashamed of? Of course not. It just means it is time to retire the old energy to make room for new. Recognize when such and such a thing does not contribute to the overall quality and highest good of your life.

When you see that this is the case, be okay with letting it go. Life stays fresh this way. This way, you are not clinging to the dead weight of once was. By clinging too tightly to that which yo should let go, you run the risk of developing resentment for for this. by letting it go you are honoring it. Keep this in mind.

4 of Swords: Break Away

4 of Swords tarot card

4 of Swords Tarot Card: Take a break from hive mentality

Feeling pressured? People pushing you to do something you’d really rather not have to do? Just want to be left alone today? Well, do it. Be left alone. If you don’t feel like going along with whatever the crowd is dictating, then break away from the crowd and do your own thing. Do what is meaningful to you as an individual. What’s the deal with the group mind/hive mentality anyway? Is it really what your life is all about? Is this where your heart is?

Today, take a break from it. Wish the others well in their group endeavor as you take a nap. Sometimes, your spirit, your mind, your heart, your soul all simply need this time away from the group, especially if this is a group you have been obligated to spend time with day after day, week after wee, and month after month. This being the case, probably, you hear the same thing and expect the same thing over and over and over. If you need a break from that, well, why wouldn’t you take it. Simple as that. Take care of yourself and never apologize for it.

The Magician: What is Magic?

magician copy

The Magician Tarot Card: Define The Magic

To appreciate the magic of the world and the magic of day to day life, you must be able to define it. Once you can define it, you must be able to recognize it. So, what is magic? Magic is subjective. Let’s consider magic to be those things that  happen without our logical understanding. It can be such that things appear to happen out of nowhere. Things appear seemingly out of thin air. Where did these things come from? How did they appear? Maybe the best we can say about it is, “It’s a miracle. It’s magic.”

How is this subjective? It’s subjective because to some, we are so tuned into the rhythms and vibes of the universe that we don’t even notice that these special things are happening. To us, this isn’t magic. This is a normal everyday occurrence.  If you are not so tuned in, these things may seem incredible, mystical, or just simply magical.

Some people who are truly tuned in to the rhythms of the universe have the know how to  bring forth these occurrences. They can tap into the universal flow of the cosmos and pick out what is needed in the physical realm and bring it to the physical plain. These are known as Magicians.

Today, pay extra close attention. Notice things that seem magical and truly appreciate them. Appreciate them as out of the ordinary happenings, and ask yourself, ” Did I contribute to bringing that forth? Did I ask for it?” Now you are tuning into your magician powers. Make this a common practice. You can, you know.
